Carol just became a Grandma and is enjoying her Holidays more than ever! I love this picture she sent creating a Teddy Bear. I got an e-mail from a woman who made her dog bed with my clips too! She said they held all her layers together perfectly.

Erin is a man who has never sewn before but wanted to fulfill his promise to his daughter that when she got married he would make her wedding gown. I met him at the Maker Faire last May and he bought a set of clips and watched the how-to videos on my site. Low and behold his wife sent me pictures of the wedding and they ended up in an article in the San Francisco Chronicle! Then they got picked up by ABC and are going to be on the news with this incredibly touching story. In this world of things upside down and backwards it is such a relief to hear about people doing something this beautiful purely out of LOVE. Thank You to Erin and Bev for sharing your story and making my day!

Carol Bledsoe will be in booth 315 thursday to sunday doing demos, selling Getta Grip Sewing Clips and showing the entire Marti Michelle line. This is the biggest show in California and has an amazing array of things to help you create, so get your sewing fantasies fulfilled! I’m going tomorrow to check it all out. I’m also going by AAA Sewing in San Mateo to drop off their clip order because they’re selling there! I’ll be doing classes there soon as well. Plus I get to have lunch with Kimo in the Effie’s Heart office! Should be a fun day……

Rest in Peace Steve Jobs and thanks for showing people like me what is possible. I have done this entire process of developing my clip idea, manufacturing it, selling it and connecting to thousands of people here on my Mac in San Francisco. Ironically my modem died the same day you did and the feeling of disconnect was truly unsettling. I do most of my business on my Mac and when it was down I felt weird. When we got the iMac in 1997 I thought it was a great invention and used it here and there. I got this big monitor all white and shiny in 2007 and really love it. We have done so many things on here I could not count them all. Thank You for inventing something that ushered me into my own future. xoxo Paul
